5th and 6th grade made a trip to Forest Glen Preserve to experience Maple Syrup Season! We ventured to the Sugar Bush to discover the winter tradition of tapping trees, collecting buckets of sap, and boiling it down to that golden amber syrup for which the Forest Glen Preserve is so well known. A special thank you to Ms. Brenna Karcher and the Vermilion County Conservation District for putting on a great trip and to Monicals for welcoming us for lunch!
